Welcome to the Morrison Chamber of Commerce!  We are dedicated to supporting and promoting Morrison, building relationships, and providing structure and events that unite the community. We are a resource to the community and local business focused on offering you, the business owner, relevant services that contribute to your success. Those benefits include:

Ø Internet Visibility: One of the many values of membership is a free listing on the Morrison Chamber of Commerce website www.morrisonchamber.com and a link to your own web site.

Ø Business Recognition Opportunities: Your businesses’ visibility will be increased through weekly e-blasts and a quarterly e-mail based newsletter (Chamber Chatter) featuring noteworthy business milestones, achievements, promotions, photos, and interesting articles applicable to your business. Businesses and employees have the additional opportunity to be recognized for their exceptional customer service.

Ø Welcome Center/Information Resource: The Chamber office is home to brochures, business cards, phone books, maps and other information for businesses, organizations, community services and recreation, providing you with another great opportunity to promote yourself to new residents and the many visitors of the Chamber office.

Ø Tourism Bureau: The Chamber promotes the town of Morrison and its businesses by publishing booklets, developing content and working with our local Convention and Visitors Bureau and local tourism agencies to increase the visibility of our community and businesses.

Ø Membership Referral: The Morrison Chamber of Commerce works tirelessly to promote members, and can provide referrals to grow your business.

Ø Chamber Membership Plaque: Your business will gain respect and show the public you support the community when you display your Chamber Membership Plaque.

Ø Shop Local Campaign: The Chamber builds support for locally owned businesses through their “Think Local, Shop Local” campaign, which promotes the many benefits that shopping locally brings to the community.

Ø Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies: The Morrison Chamber of Commerce performs ribbon-cutting ceremonies celebrating a new business, ground breaking, or location, providing an excellent promotional opportunity for your business.

Ø Networking Opportunities: Meet business people and community leaders at Chamber events, such as the Annual Dinner, Business after Hours, Workshops, Ribbon Cuttings, and other networking events, which provide wonderful opportunities to promote your business and expand your customer base.

Ø Targeted Marketing: Effective advertising and promotional opportunities are available for our members utilizing market specific cost-effective campaigns. Examples include the New Resident Welcome Basket and the kiosk at Rockwood State Park, utilizing targeted advertising and promotional opportunities to a particular consumer.

Ø Representation: As a Chamber member, you become a part of an organization with a strong credible voice that speaks out on behalf of business. The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are active members of numerous business, civic, and community organizations and are available to the needs of our members.

Ø Events: The Morrison Chamber of Commerce sponsors and hosts many events such as the Community Clean-Up, Halloween Parade, and Christmas Walk, which all contribute to an active, vital hometown giving Morrison residents a sense of community pride. We are constantly finding ways to promote the Chamber and provide funding for additional initiatives.

This year we are pleased to announce that we will continue to offer a membership level, “Friends of the Chamber.”  Participation at this level is open to any individual who is a resident of Morrison, IL.   Business ownership is not a requirement.  The annual fee for a “Friends of the Chamber” membership is only $20 a year.  This membership entitles you to these benefits:

• Your name will be listed in the Morrison Chamber of Commerce Brochure and on the Chamber website as a “Friend of the Chamber.”
• A quarterly e-mail based newsletter containing a calendar of events, information on local businesses and promotions, and interesting articles.
• An invitation to the Annual Banquet, which provides a unique chance for Chamber members to come together for an evening of great food, presentation, and discussion and the Business After Hours social gatherings, hosted throughout the year by a volunteering member business.
• Volunteer Opportunities in Morrison Chamber of Commerce sponsored events such as the Halloweeen Parade and Christmas Walk.
